King – Cups
The King sits the throne with nonchalance and an air of ease and comfort with the weight of the position. He gazes at a chalice that is richly studded with gem stones. The chalice gleams with the warm light and richness of what appears to be gold. Upon his head is the laurel-wreath crown, indicating the chair he occupies he obtained through his own strength of effort. Behind him is an elaborate stained glass window with fish swimming among swirling waters.
The King is reflecting on his achievements. He won his position through application of responsibility, creativity and inspiration. His well-earned position affords him the opportunity to rule fairly with compassion and generosity. He is considerate and caring, a lover of the arts and champion of those who work in the sciences. He values intelligence and has the carriage of a true professional. If the King looks condescending and snide it may be that you need to keep a lookout for being treated unfairly by a person of ill repute. He is not himself the person of your ruin, just the warning that you must be careful of those you align yourself with.
