Seven – Cups

Here we see the man in his dreaming, turning the flesh and blood woman of reality into a vision of fantasy and imagination that no human could live up to. She is emblematic of his ideal of perfection. As he sleeps the cup sits empty, showing that his dreams may also be so.

The Seven of Cups calls you to awaken from your illusions. Reality is calling but you are allowing whimsy and imagination to take the place of a solid foundation and long term commitment. The Seven may be speaking to you of the determination and effort required to reach the long held goal. The Seven may be saying achievement of the goal may well be at hand.
